Sibutramine hydrochloride

Sibutramine Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of sibutramine, a phenethylamine derivative with appetite depressant property. This agent does not exhibit anticholinergic or antihistaminic effects. The directory classifies it as a discontinued API with a synthetic source/manufacturing origin. Other names for this substance include Cyclobutanemethanamine, 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-N, N-dimethyl-alpha-(2-methylpropyl)- and hydrochloride. It is listed as a controlled drug substance (Schedule IV). Its PubChem CID is 64764.
