Ketobemidone

Ketobemidone is a member of piperidines. Ketobemidone is a DEA Schedule I controlled substance. Substances in the DEA Schedule I have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse. It is a Opiates substance. Ketobemidone is a powerful opioid analgesic. It also has some NMDA-antagonist properties. This makes it useful for some types of pain that don’t respond well to other opioids. The most commonly cited equalisation ratio for analgesic doses is 25 mg of ketobemidone hydrobromide to 60 mg of morphine hydrochloride or sulfate and circa 8 mg of ketobemidone by injection. Its therapeutic use is listed as analgesics. The directory classifies it as a discontinued API with a synthetic source/manufacturing origin. Other names for this substance include Cetobemidone, Cliradone and Cliradon. Its PubChem CID is 10101.
