2-Deoxyglucose

It interferes with glycolysis by inhibiting glucose metabolism after cellular uptake. Due to this property, 2-deoxyglucose is widely used in biochemical research and cancer metabolism studies. 2-Deoxyglucose is a glucose analog in which the hydroxyl group at the C-2 position is replaced by hydrogen.
