Carperitide

Carperitide is a recombinant form of human atrial natriuretic peptide (hANP), consisting of 28 amino acids. It is mainly used in Japan for the treatment of acute heart failure, as it promotes vasodilation, natriuresis, and diuresis by binding to natriuretic peptide receptors and increasing intracellular cyclic GMP levels. Carperitide helps reduce cardiac preload and afterload, improving hemodynamic stability. The directory classifies it as a commercial API with a peptide source/manufacturing origin. Other names for this substance include Atriopeptins, Cardionatrin and Hanp. Its PubChem CID is 16129708.
